The Honourable Steven L. Point was sworn-in as British Columbia's 28th Lieutenant Governor on October 1, 2007. He also served as the tribal chair of the Stó:lo Nation Government, and he was honoured as Grand Chief by the Chiefs of the Stó:lo Tribal Council.

The Honourable Garde Basil Gardom was sworn-in on April 21st, 1995, as British Columbia's 26th Lieutenant-Governor. During his term as Lieutenant Governor he was appointed the Honorary Colonel of The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught's Own), a Primary Reserve unit of the Canadian Forces.
