Blazon: Argent a cross wavy Azure voided likewise of the field, in each quarter a maple leaf slipped towards the fess point Gules.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS St. Croix, a destroyer transferred from the US Navy to the RCN in 1940. Used primarily for convoy protection, she was sunk in 1943, only one of her crew ultimately surviving. In the badge, the cross symbolizes the Holy Cross of the name. The wavy blue and white lines of the cross suggest the sea, while the maple leaves represent the Royal Canadian Navy.
