Blazon: Argent, on a mount Vert, a Cornish Chough wings elevated Sable, beaked and membered Gules, supporting with its dexter claw a fouled anchor Or and holding in its beak a maple leaf of the fourth.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS CORNWALLIS. The chough derives from the arms of General Lord Cornwallis, who founded Halifax. The anchor and mount indicate a naval shore base, and the maple leaf signifies Canada.
