Blazon: Vert three bendlets wavy Or debruised by a plate voided, the inner edges invected.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS Chaudière, A Restigouche-class destroyer that served with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1959-1974. Her name is derived from the Chaudière river, which discharges into the St. Lawrence almost opposite Quebec City. The three wavy lines symbolize the river itself. The word chaudière, which gives the river its name, means a large metallic vessel used for cooking and refers to the spectacular falls near the river’s mouth that resembles a pot full of boiling water. This is symbolized by the central figure of the badge.

Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
