Blazon: Gules, a wyvern rampant Or, holding in his dexter claw a sword erect Argent.
Significance: In the badge design, the wyvern (a mythical, two-legged flying dragon) is derived from the arms of the town of Bergerac in France, the birthplace of Alexandre De Berthier, a prominent Seigneur of New France and founder of the town of Berthierville. The sword allueds to Captain De Berthier's prowess as a soldier.
Notes: CCMRC Alexandre De Berthier, Berthierville, Quebec
Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
