Viking Torque Hjalmarson, D.E. (Badge) Vol V, P 133 The Viking Torque is a form of jewelry, usually made of twisted silver strips in the form of a neck-ring. It often bears wolves’ or other animal heads on its tips, as in the bow of a Viking ship. In this badge, it refers to the grantee’s bloodlines – Viking/Norse by the torque, French by the fleurs-de-lis at the tips.
