Blazon: Gules on a pile Azure fimbriated Argent the imperial state crown proper.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS Victoria, a long-range hunter-killer submarine. Built originally for the Royal Navy (as HMS Unseen) in 1991, she was transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy in 1998 and renamed HMCS Victoria. She remains in service. The V-shape of the pile suggests the name “Victoria” and the crown symbolizes the monarchy.

Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
