Blazon: Sable, issuant from a cloud proper in the sinister flank a dexter arm fesswise Gules, grasping a scimitar point upwards Or.
Significance: The badge is that of HMS VINDICTIVE. The arm and scimitar derive from an old badge of the name, while the cloud commemorates the smokescreens used by the assault ship (ex-cruiser) at the Ostende and Zebruggee raids of 1917.
