Blazon: Azure, from a base invected Argent, a salmon contournée leaping proper.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS SKEENA. The design is derived from a wartime badge and refers to the plentiful salmon of the Skeena river. The base resembling clouds alludes to the original Indian name for the river, "Iksh Shean" meaning "out of the clouds," so named because of the source of the river in the mountains.
