RCSCC SOUTHERN CROSS
Blazon: | Azure, a cross Argent, charged with five estoiles in cross Gules. |
Significance: | The corps is named for the Southern Cross, a constellation of five stars visible in the southern hemisphere. The stars in the design are a direct reference to the constellation. The white cross also alludes to the name but more importantly signifies the corps' location in Newfoundland, since a white cross is part of that Province's coat of arms. |
Notes: | RCSCC Southern Cross, Colliers, Newfoundland |
Artist: | LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island. |
