Blazon: Party per saltire, Argent, Azure, Gules, and Or, a Himalayan tiger passant guardant proper.
Significance: The field colours duplicate the house flag of the Peninsular and Oriental (P & O) Steamship Line. RMS RAWALPINDI of this line was outfitted as an Armed Merchant Cruiser at the start of World War II. She was sunk in action while valiantly defending her convoy from a German battlecruiser, and was flying this flag during the battle. The tiger represents the Indian sub-continent, source of the name and the original ship's area of service.
