Blazon: Argent, a lion rampant reguardant proper, holding in his paws a palm leaf Vert.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS NELSON. The lion with the palm is a supporter from the arms of Vice-Admiral Viscount Horatio Nelson, hero of Trafalgar. It refers to the Nelson motto, "Palmam Qui Meruit Ferat" (Let him bear the palm who has deserved it).
