Blazon: Per pale, Azure a mullet Argent, and Argent a Maple leaf Gules; over all a pale paly wavy of six Argent and Azure.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS NIAGARA, one of the "four-stacker" U.S. destroyers transferred to the R.C.N.. HMCS NIAGARA, like all ex-American destroyers in Canadian service, was named after a boundary river. The badge design signifies Niagara Falls on the Niagara River between Canada and the U.S. (The name HMCS NIAGARA was subsequently used for the Canadian Naval Liaison Office in Washington, D.C.).
Notes: RCSCC Niagara, Niagara Falls, Ontario
Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
