Blazon: Azure, a fern leaf erect Or.
Significance: The badge is derived from the legend of the Micmac hero-god Glooscap, the personification of good. In the myth Glooscap is said to have killed his evil twin brother by striking him with a fern, the significance being that the spirit of virtue behind the weapon is more powerful than the weapon itself.
