Blazon: Azure, a lozenge Or, guttee de larmes, between four lozenges diminished in saltire of the second.
Significance: The corps is situated in the Magdalen Islands in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The blue background represents the sea. The five lozenges signify the main islands of the archipelago, the gold colour suggesting the sand of the beaches. The lozenge shape is significant as the standard heraldic symbol for a woman, in this case St. Mary Magdalen, for whom the islands are named. The central lozenge bears her ecclesiastical symbol, the tears with which she washed the feet of Christ.
