Blazon: Azure, on a Canadian pale Argent, pendant from the chief a naval Victoria Cross and ribbon proper.
Significance: A representation of the Victoria Cross awarded posthumously to Boy Seaman First Class John Cornwell, who died of wounds suffered while standing his station aboard HMS CHESTER during the Battle of Jutland, May 31, 1916. The blue ribbon is that used on naval V.C.'s prior to 1921.
