Blazon: Barry wavy of four, Argent and Azure, a wolf's head couped close Sable within a circlet of chain Or, impaled by a sword point upwards Argent, hilted Or, pommelled Gules.
Significance: The badge is that of HMS HOWE. The baackground represents the sea, while the wolf's head impaled on a sword is the crest of the Howe family. The circle of chain symbolizes the rejoining of the fleet after the Mutiny of the Nore in 1797, which Admiral Howe was instrumental in ending peacefully.
