Blazon: Sable, upon a chapeau Gules turned up ermine, a griffin passant Or.
Significance: The badge is that of HMS GRENVILLE. The griffin passant on a "chapeau" or "cap of maintenance" is the crest of the Grenville family, long famous in the Royal Navy.
