Blazon: Gules, a bee displayed Or, banded with two bands Azure, holding with its forelegs the coronet of a Marquess of England proper.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS GRANBY. This is an example of "canting arms", the charge being a rebus on the name i.e. a "grand bee". The coronet refers to the Marquess of Granby, for whom the town was named, while the two blue bands on the bee are from the Granby arms.
Notes: CCMRC Granby, Granby, Quebec
Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
