Blazon: Bleu celeste arising from a base barry wavy of four Azure and Argent, the upper bar fimbriated Argent, an iceberg, and volant above it an Albatross proper.
Significance: The badge is that of HMS Endurance, a Class 1A1 icebreaker that has served with the Royal Navy from 1991 to the present. The wavy bars represent the sea. The iceberg denotes the ship’s type of deployment, while the albatross suggests its means of observation by helicopter, while being a bird whose endurance at sea is a fabled one.
Notes: RCSCC Endurance, Terrace Bay, Ontario
Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
