Blazon: Azure, a Crusader's shield proper, charged in the dexter canton with a maple leaf Gules.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS CRUSADER. The shield is typical of those used by the Crusaders, and hence represents the name. The maple leaf indicates that the ship was transferred from the RN to the RCN under the same name.
Notes: RCSCC Crusader, Winnipeg, Manitoba
Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
