Blazon: Azure a life preserver per saltire Argent, Or, Gules and Sable, roped Or and within the ring a chart of Cape Breton Island Proper.
Significance: The life preserver (or Kisbie float) is a reference to the sea, although the multiple colours are not explained. The chart in the centre refers to the name. One is surprised that they have not used the badge of HMCS Cape Breton, blazoned – Azure on a gear-wheel three ermine-spots alternating with three thistles slipped all conjoined at the centre proper.
Notes: RCSCC Cape Breton, Waycbah, Nova Scotia
Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
