Significance: | The badge is that of HMCS Calgary, a Halifax Class frigate of the Royal Canadian Navy. The gold background indicates the wheat of the Prairies. The barry-wavy bend and the bow together symbolize the Bow River that flows through Calgary, while the bow and arrow further suggest the First Peoples of the area. |
