Blazon: Azure, issuant from two barrulets wavy Argent in base, a dexter arm embowed Or, holding a harpoon in bend sinister of the second.
Significance: The badge is that of the experimental hydrofoil ship, HMCS Bras D'Or. The golden arms ("bras d'or") emerging from the water symbolizes the Bras d'Or lakes where Alexander Graham Bell conducted his hydrofoil experiments. The harpoon signifies the ship's intended anti-submarine role.
