Blazon: Gules, a pentagram Or sumounted with a mural crown Argent charged with a bar gemel wavy Azure.
Significance: The charge is the registered badge of the City of Brrie. The star or "pentagram", made up of five interlacing lines, symbolizes the location of Barrie at the junction of five major provincial highways. The masonry or "mural" crown is the standard heraldic symbol for a city or municipality. The two wavy bars superimposed on the crown are from the registered coat of arms of the City of Barrie, ultimately derived from the arms of Sir Robert Barrie. In the present sense they represent the waters of Lake Simcoe and Kempenfelt Bay, on which Barrie is located.

Artist: LCdr Steve Cowan, Area Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer (Sea), Vancouver Island.
