Above the Shield, from which is pendant by its proper ribband the Badge of a Serving Brother of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, is placed an Helm befitting his degree with a Mantling Sable doubled Argent, and on a Wreath of the Liveries is set for Crest issuant from a naval Crown Or a sea-lion Gules armed, langued and tailed Azure holding in its dexter paw a naval cutlass Proper and in its sinister a quill pen Sable feathered Argent. |
